RFW Software began in 2001 with a product called Wizards for Word. This product initially served the need for a product to use with Microsoft Word to format various types of manuscripts. The product found wide acceptance in the market.

In 2005, additional capabilities were added to check for word usage mistakes in the manuscript, other utilities like Burster Wizard, Joiner, Add-a-Chapter, and more.

In 2012, eBook Wizard, POD Wizard, and expansion of the other Wizards and product offerings were added. The user interface was updated to reflect the changes in Microsoft Word.  Cheetaah for Writers became the lead product for writers, and Wizards for Students became the lead product for students preparing papers in APA and/or MLA format.

Additional services were offered to the self-publishing author. Some of the services are free. To learn more, visit publishingangel.com and rfwpublications.com .
